The magazine introduces you to a wide range of food options in Canada Water, South Bermondsey, Surrey Quays and Rotherhithe.
- Do you know where you can buy eight different cheeses made in SE16?
- Have you tasted the excellent pork and lamb reared organically on the North Downs and sold at our independent butcher on Market Place?
- You can even take a swig from a bottle of craft beer brewed and canned here in SE16.
“…the food offering in SE16 will make an impression across the city…”
Everyone loves a cuppa in the morning or a good breakfast to set up for the day. We have so many great cafes in SE16 that we created a map so you can find somewhere new to tempt you with their burgers or coffee. We’ve even negotiated four great offers from some of our best cafes specially for our readers. Just turn up with the magazine during October and you can claim your offer – only one each though!
“…Get down to your local pub and support these threatened local institutions…”
New bars and restaurants
We have also brought you forthcoming delights. In the next month or so, two new food offerings will open in Canada Water. One is TASTI – a pan-Asian bar and restaurant on Canada Water plaza – and the other is Hawker House in Canada Water – a street-food market found three nights a week at the former What!!! Store on Surrey Quays Road. Between them, the food offering in SE16 will make an impression across the city.

Food and drink map
Along with the magazine, we have designed an online map to give you the full picture of all the great food outlets in SE16 – fish and chips, Asian food, take aways, cafes, pubs and bars, restaurants are all listed and you can find their details by clicking on their pointer. So why eat or drink outside SE16 when there are so many great places to feed your face round here? Get down to your local pub and support these threatened local institutions; meet your local restaurant chef and eat a great sit-down meal in SE16.
“…if you want to help to make SE16 even better, think about how you can get involved…”
