Each month we meet up in a local pub to share a quiet pint (or glass) and news about the area. It’s an informal opportunity for locals to meet each other – sometimes as established friends, often as neighbours who don’t know each other yet. The format is simple: come along with your friends or family, buy yourself a drink or something to eat, sit down with the SE16Hour crowd (or stand at the bar if you will) and get to know your neighbours. Simples!
If you want to come along, let us know on Facebook; then we know to expect you!
If you want to join us this month, we are the guests of The Stanley Arms which is on Southwark Park Road near the Jamaica Gate entrance to Southwark Park. We are meeting on Friday this week and aim to start from about 19:30 onwards; you can stay as long as the conversation lasts! We collect a list of people who turned up so we can keep people informed about SE16 in future and we offer you a sticky label to aid people getting to know you. Networking for neighbours, that’s what we call it!
MeetUp: Friday 26 June 19:30 at The Stanley Arms, Southwark Park Road
If you can’t get along or you just want to stay in touch, do add your name to our mailing list on the website iliveinse16.com; then we’ll send you our monthly newsletter. Find the sign up box at the bottom of the webpage!
