It’s time to celebrate all things Bermondsey! On Saturday 28 June, Bermondsey Carnival (http://www.bermondseybeat.moonfruit.com/) will burst into Southwark Park with all the joy, imagination and verve available! The day is full of fun for the whole family and offers a great opportunity to meet friends, have a bit of fun, enjoy the open air and celebrate our little corner of London.

So much to do!
The event opens at 12 noon and runs until 8pm. There are many things happening across Southwark Park to involve and enchant. You can laze by the lake, take in an ice cream at one of the vendor’s vans, browse the wide range of stalls and shake a leg at the main stage.

Highlights
The Community Choir of Rotherhithe and Bermondsey (http://www.rbcs-choir.org.uk/) will be performing at the Band Stand at 1pm. Get along and support our singers who are currently rehearsing for their next free concert on 12 July.

Find interactive art at Stall S14 where Veronica Rowlands will be showing a new wallpaper roll and getting you involved. The art work will be sold for Beating Bowel Cancer and Breast Cancer Care after the Carnival.

The Southwark Park Bowling Club will be playing a demonstration match at 2.30pm at the Bowling Green. Get along to see this longstanding club in action.
