Bringing SE16 together and creating a sense of pride in the area is part of the goal of I Live in SE16. That goal is reflected in the SE16Hour which meets each week on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm on Twitter. We chat about what’s current in Bermondsey and Rotherhithe and have fun with quizzes and offers and each week learn a little more about our home or workplace. Once in a while all this online celebration of SE16 spills over into the work of flesh and blood when we meet up and get together for some conversation and friendship making.
So the next MeetUp for anyone with an interest in SE16 has been planned, prepared and is now announced. The details:
Thursday 18 September at 7.30pm
upstairs at
The Old Salt Quay, Rotherhithe
163 Rotherhithe Street SE16 5QU
If you know anyone who would like to come along, PLEASE let them know and encourage them to be there. The evening is an informal way to get to know other people who live, work or spend time in SE16 and we hope that everyone will feel welcome. We are meeting upstairs at a large pub which offers food and drink to all and which has just been through a facelift, so you might want to come along to see the new Old Salt Quay in all her splendour. Some people will come along with leaflets and information about great things in SE16; others will come to enjoy the company and lift a glass to the area we all so love. Some will come to eat and/or drink whilst others will want nothing more than the conversation. Everyone is welcome. Please share the invitation.
