Volunteers from different backgrounds help to run Salmon. Their hard work is an integral part of what makes the Salmon Youth Centre successful.
Volunteers are involved across all age groups, from 6 to 19 years, helping with a variety of activities from football to climbing, dance and drama. Most of them help in the youth club during the evening. Some of them offer specific skills on a voluntary basis, such as administration skills or specialist advice.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and get to know the local community. It can also enhance your CV or improve your employment prospects.
All volunteers at the Salmon Youth Centre go through an induction programme and are offered further training and support through supervision meetings.
If you are interested in exploring the possibilities of being an adult volunteer (age 20+) at Salmon, please get in touch with Jim Guild / jim@salmonyouthcentre.org / 020 7394 2444
